Health, safety and environment (HSE) policy

Health, safety and environmental protection are core principles of ASKAY’s Quality Policy and a priority for our management. To deliver products and services that meet national and international standards, our HSE policy aims to:

• Protect people: prevent harm to our employees and others by taking every legally required precaution for a healthy working life.
• Prevent accidents: work safely and without occupational accidents.
• Protect the environment: avoid any damage to the natural environment.

To achieve this, we are committed to:

• Providing occupational health and safety (OHS) training, delivered by an OHS specialist, to our employees and subcontractors. No task is so urgent or important that it should be done unsafely, and every job must be carried out with HSE awareness.
• Carrying out regular inspections of our factories and sites by an OHS specialist, identifying and correcting shortcomings, and providing a safer working environment.
• Using energy efficiently to protect the natural environment, and sending domestic and metal waste for controlled recycling.
• Recognising and rewarding employees who contribute to effective HSE performance.

All ASKAY employees share responsibility for health, safety and the environment. Compliance with this policy is audited by our Quality Assurance and Control Manager and our OHS specialist, and our HSE activities are continuously monitored and reviewed.
